“I have always found that arriving somewhere early allows more time to daydream.”
Ben has three things to do today.
A show is opening later, but first he has a family meeting, and before that there’s a funeral.
A single day can encompass the past, present and future; friends, family and strangers; the ridiculous, the moving and the inspirational.
Like life.
There’s talk of snacks, lies and videotapes; unreliable phones and good gullibility; dogs, dolphins and rissoles.
Surreal and melancomic, it’s a day crammed with one-liners and observations alongside beautiful digressions.
Ben Moor has been performing oddball storytelling shows at the Fringe for over 30 years, winning a Herald Angel Award for Coelacanth in 2005.
TV credits include Knowing Me, Knowing You, The IT Crowd and The Queen’s Gambit.
