Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Previews 2026: Catch two excellent stand-up comedians performing brand new material each night

An eight-week mini-season of fantastic comedy as stand-up stars premier their latest shows before they head to the largest arts festival in the world, Edinburgh Fringe! Be the first to catch these shows before they go on to comedy glory! Each night will feature two full length performances from some of the best comedians in the country.

ANDREW DOHERTY

Star, creator and heartthrob of sell-out hits Gay Witch Sex Cult ★★★★ Guardian and Sad Gay AIDS Play ★★★ Guardian returns with a new comedy-horror-revenge-slasher-spooktacular.

When know-nothing, home-owning reviewer Felix Chatelier is invited to be a special guest at a new fringe festival, he is thrilled. But when he becomes embroiled with creepy townsfolk and horrific twists he must fight for his life and more importantly, his reputation, as he desperately seeks to answer the question ‘Why oh why did I only give Andrew Doherty three stars?’ Reviewers welcome at their peril.

JONATHAN OLDFIELD

The Oxford English Dictionary describes a corpse as (1) a body or (2) spoiling a performance by laughing. Jonathan Oldfield will be using both definitions in his highly anticipated debut show of exquisitely silly character comedy.

Creator and star of BBC Radio 4’s award-winning Time of the Week. BBC New Comedy Awards finalist. Director of Lorna Rose Treen and Joe Kent-Walters. You also may have seen him in Star Wars: Andor or online in those sketches someone sent to you.
